There is a lot cut out but it is the longest book and I guess they had to be fairly ruthless to keep the running time down. I liked it overall, although there wasn't enough Snape and I found Sirius' death scene a bit...rushed and underwhelming. I expected them to dwell on it a bit more.
I don't mind them cutting stuff... I just dunno about this movie. I mean I loved Goblet of Fire but this one just not so much. I'll still be getting the dvd :D
While I enjoyed the film I felt it was very rushed. Especially the bits in the Ministry at the end, and Sirius' death. I'm kinda glad they left out all the Quidditch stuff, but they definitely should have had more of the Order. Total waste of those characters. A highlight was when Harry says something like "We have something Voldemort hasn't", and my friend said " A nose?". She said it really loudly and everyone was laughing! Anyway yeah I liked it but it did have a good few faults.
Mrs Black was there - you could hear her whispering as Kreacher polished her. I liked Sirius being AKed - cos I get glee out of upsetting the people who deny he died.
The hair is Dan's fault - he did another film in between and it didn't have time to grow back.
I'm ok with the changes, mainly because what was left out can't be that important in the grand scheme of things, seeing as Jo reads and approves the final script (and gives advice - like when she told them to put Kreacher back in).

what happened to harry & voldiepie fighting in the ministry before dumbledore arrives.
i agree with the tapestry and the twins and peeves and the teachers joining in making Umbridges life hell.
i think when umbridge called the centaurs filthy half-breeds that should have gone down much worse.
when sirius smacks lucius :D
the patil twins...one of them always switching between ravenclas & slytherin.
okay i'll be quiet now.
