I saw Harry Potter!!!
My review of Order of the Phoenix...
Ok I've just got in from the cinema so bullet points for now... I may be more coherent later :)
Things I liked
*The DA was cool.
*"Emotional range of a teaspoon" made it into the movie! Yay! once of JKR's best lines :D
*Tonks
*Sirius
*Moody
* Luna rocked :D
*The newspapers
*The humour
* The flying into London bit at the start. Cool. Made me feel excited.
* The fight at the ministry. "You did beautifully." "Good one James."
* The way they played the Lupin/Harry bit after Sirius died.
* The Thestrals. Pretty much exactly how I imagined them. And the baby one awwww :D
*Luna's converse LOL
*Filch and the bursting postules
* That Percy was there even if he wasn't actually mentioned by name.
*Sirius smacking Lucius! yay!
Things I didn't like
*The Dementor scene. Just wrong that Dud's mates were there and ... just wrong in the tunnel bit.
* The Ministry. Where was my ceiling???
* Not giving harry the extra minute to lose his temper properly with Ron and Hermione when he arrived at Grimmauld Place.
* Leaving out that Ron and Hermy are prefects.
* Sirius showing Harry the old Order members photo. No. Lazy.
* Cho the traitor? WTF? Just no. It was lazy. Would it have killed them to do that properly?
* Where was Mrs Black?????????
* What happened to the hair? They all had weird hair. Even Lucious had a bad hair cut.
* Not enough OotP. I wanted Tonks dammit. All I got was a stumble and a wink.
* Ron got them free cos of puking pastilles? There was no need to change that bit *sigh*
* Grawp.
* I missed Dobby
*Bellatrix. Didn't like her or the way she seemed to be flirting with Lucious.
* The way Sirius died. Bella does NOT AK him!!!
* The complete overplaying of Ginny's powers. Yes we know she is good. The movie made her look like a rival for Dumbledore or Voldy. ..... maybe it's a clue to the end of Deathly Hallows??? ;)
* The Black Family tree. Supposed to be a tapestry, not a four wall covering *sigh*
*Twins should have been allowed to say "Give her hell for us Peeves." It was only as they were leaving I realised we had no ghosts. No fat lady :(
Overall... I didn't enjoy it as much as Goblet of Fire or Azkaban... I have this impression that they changed things just for the sake of change. And not just from book to film, from film to film. What was with Harry's close cut hair? Did they never read the books? It's supposed to be messy! *sigh*
