I once saw Chris Isaak at a Tower Records before. I was killing time before heading to the movies and he was doing an in-store appearance for what I think was a Christmas album. He had already performed and was signing CDs at a table by the time I got there, which was rather disappointing. But the pompadour did not disappoint, haha.

When it comes to sketches Sam has a natural talent, okay? And his own little Winchester hunting journal is full of beautiful hand-drawn visual aides. And no one can tell me otherwise.HEE. I have a lot of weird personal fanon for Sam and that's on it, even if I've never actually written it before. Because it just seems like he would be, I guess? It's cute though

Heh, the replacement costume resulted from the fact that my girl!Sam costume = basically looks like a butch lesbian!Sam costume which, heh, fits, but had it been a fandom party rather than a parade, at least people would understand the meaning. I wish I hadn't known it was coming because I imagine it would have been awesomely mind-blowing to not immediately realize that those three dudes from the cold open were the three little pigs.
It was really cool! I didn't pick up on it at all, even when I got the "Hansel and Gretel" vibe later!

But even knowing the MotW in advance, not a let down at all. For some reason I was especially tickled by the re-use of the wolf. Why get a new wolf when you've already got one on the roster! I DON'T KNOW.
THAT WAS PRETTY NEAT!!! It reminded me of Fables, where Bigby is the Big Bad Wolf, plain and simple, and Jack of the Tales is the same Jack that is in all the stories that have a Jack. Like Sam, I'm a fairy tale fan.

I like your mytharc thoughts! I've always enjoyed the show's mytharc, the way it keeps developing and expanding. It's fun.

AWESOME. I'll just live vicariously through you, then. I'm glad they didn't go so cartoonish with the fairy tales that they were too overt.

I've never read Fables, though I think we might have it downstairs. After this episode I'm very interested in reading some old school original fairy tales. Jared said in an interview that because of this episode he read a bunch and that they completely freaked him out. I'm paraphrasing of course, but you get the gist.

The mytharc thoughts aren't entirely mine. At least the bit about Yellow Eyes having set this all up in advance. Though I really don't think that's the case considering the way he talked about it with Dean in AHBL as if it'd had been a happy accident.

I've always enjoyed the shows mytharc, the way it keeps developing and expanding.
