On Tuesday, a ran a little while at the gym for the first time in a while, since I've been getting used to my inserts still, and it felt great . . . at the time. Two days later, my shins still hurt ( Read more... )

I will probably be doing the Monster Dash (Halloween 5k and people run in costumes) with a group in October if you wanted to shoot for that. It's fun!

I'll keep that in mind, but I don't think that it's going to be in 2010.

I am in so much pain right now, I can't fathom the idea of doing any running for quite awhile. I'm thinking a long regime of calve strengthening is in order!

I miss my treadmill!!

I think the shin pain is something that gets better with use and time. The adjustment from the inserts is pretty huge! I get unbelievable shin pain with changes like new shoes and stuff.

Since I got the inserts, the pain that I was getting from up-right exercise was unilateral, and I didn't have any of that pain this week, even right after the running. I've always had some problems w/ shin splint and running, but it's never been this bad. I'm still feeling it today.
