Spinal doc said I could take off my back brace. He said that the hardware inside me is really sturdy and the brace is really for people who have stuff that's more fragile. Yay anterior, I guess.

For sure. My next hurdle will be Physical Therapy and getting off pain meds. I'm more scared of that than anything else right now.
