I didn't get the solo, but I am extremely proud of myself for trying. The audition itself went very well, but with so many talented people going for the same parts, the competition is a little higher. I'm auditioning for a solo with CDD tomorrow. This would be my first one with this choir. Actually, I signed up to try for two parts from Vivaldi's Gloria The second Soprano solo in the third movement "Laudamus Te", as well as the Alto solo from the eighth movement "Domine Deus, Agnus Dei". I have made it into Concerto Della Donna! I needed this kind of good news this week. Still accepting all and any hugs sent my way though.

I found out last night when I got home from seeing the OSM's opening night. They had put on a free outdoor concert and it was lovely. I especially enjoyed them doing Stravinsky's Firebird

I have an audition for a choir tonight at 6:30. Specifically, CDD and I am both excited and nervous to get the chance to sing under the conducting of Maestro Iwan Edwards. When I heard they had an opening I asked, and he replied with positive enthusiasm.

Now the big question...What do I choose as my song? Currently tossing between
