I love how all social media, if it encourages group conversations and lives long enough, becomes blogging: digital storytelling. Whatever social space feels like home, that's where people will tell their stories

Belenen!! ♥ Popping my head into LJ after a long, long hiatus, and so pleased to see you active here. It might be weird but I often think of you and hope you are doing well! I loved / love reading your journal and hearing your thoughts on a variety of topics.

This entry is no exception - what a thoughtful take on the preachy digital-detox mindset that one sees and hears about everywhere. I absolutely agree that it's an ableist view that is devoid of nuance. Devices are a necessary portal for so many, either for participation in events or conversations, or for escapism. There should be room for that.
