yeah, I was a little worried that it would look copycatish because it's a weird coincidence, but it's something I've been wanting for a while -- I've been talking about it since June. I wanted to go for the fauxhawk but I didn't want to have less color, so a long fauxhawk was a good solution. I wear it pretty differently though.

I got the idea as a combination of the fauxhawk look I wanted and the long angled color that I wanted to keep. I want the sides to be about halfway between what yours is in that photo and what mine is in the last photo, and when it's down I want it to have the same angle & length as the violet in these photos: http://belenen.livejournal.com/440877.html I originally wanted the sides longer (like the length in that fauxhawk photo) but my hair sticks straight out if I do that, so I gotta keep it shorter.
