I love the one about the coffee filter! That made me go "awwww!"
And I -love- the way you drive, as I remember that I've told you before. Not only are you very focussed but you're very in tune with Silvia and know when something is up. I haven't met anyone before who really seems so in tune with their car the way you are. That always amazes me.
I -so- agree with you on the glasses, though I never knew your thoughts on it until now!
Wow, I would never have guessed that you didn't like the process of eating.. that's a new one to me.
Gar, I know you haven't tagged anyone, but now I feel like I might need to do this... hm.. I'll see!
5 - Cow's milk makes me feel ill. Give me goat's milk though, and I'll down a quart without pausing for breath. I'm not sure what the difference is really, but there is one.
14 - That's pretty much how I drive. Back where I grew up, in southern Missouri, that was a perfectly acceptable way to drive. Down here, it seems that if you try to drive safely, everyone else will be more stupid on the road to counter it. :(
5 - I know that supposedly lactose-intolerant people can often drink goat's milk with no problem, so maybe your mildly intolerant to whatever it is in cow's milk that's different (I used to know what it was but can't remember now).
14 - those people tend to pass me and get away quick ;-)
3 - that's really interesting. I'm okay with my glasses, precisely because they are a barrier between me and the world. *blush*
6 - I don't really enjoy the process of eating either; and I also hate preparing the food. It's one of the few things I really struggle to be 'present' for, because I actually don't want to be.
7 - Squee! Fairy lights are win. :)
20 - I completely agree with this, and actually spend whole days with the phone turned down. People can leave a message on my mobile/cell if they really want or need me. But my space is my space, and having to drop everything for a phone call is like being expected to drop everything for a visitor who hasn't given you any notice. I don't mind doing it for a brief time; but it does impinge on my space and my time.
Still don't like to cook, huh? I've just grown to love it more and more...and I really hate that I don't have the proper time for it. I drag out cooking, taking an excruciating amount of time to do simple things (like chop spices or trim chicken) because it's so incredibly relaxing for me. Also, eating is one of my favorite things in the world. :-P
( ... )
haha, and I NEVER WILL. Unless they invent one of those protein-synthesizer things where you punch in what you want and that's all the effort 'cooking' takes, LOL! I guess for me, it's like an art form with absolutely no reward. I don't enjoy eating enough to make it worthwhile, Ben doesn't care enough to make it worthwhile, it doesn't last, and I find photos of food really gross. If I'm going to put all that creative energy into something, I want it to be something that gives me a significant reward.
I do prefer when my husband wears contacts, because his prescription for nearsightedness is really strong, and his glasses make his eyes look teeny tiny Me too, another reason I don't like them! My eyes are too pretty for downsizing too haha!
oh wow, I didn't know that about fishing, that's really awesome!
