Hey Bel, this has nothing to do with this post, but I just wanted to tell you to please don't be discouraged by some of the opposition you've encountered on the poll you posted in the poly comm. Some people there can be, well, overly sensitive drama queens? Anyway, my advice is to just shrug your shoulders at those type of responses and move on. I, personally, have absolutely no problems answering questions about my situation. It's a relief every time I get to tell someone, I feel I'm being true to myself, open and honest; which are all things that I aspire to be able to do always. Let me know if you have any questions for me, and I'll be happy to answer.

Cool dream btw. :)

eh, well, I've just learned once again that people as a group have no fucking patience with people who want to learn. (maybe because the concept of wanting to learn is foreign to them?) It's no wonder no one ever asks questions anymore, with that sort of attitude. I was getting my feelings hurt for a bit and finally just turned off comment notifications and ignored them, except to look at the poll. I HAD thought of the community as remarkably open, but now I don't, and that makes me a little sad. But oh well.

thanks for telling me this though, it really helped at the time. ♥

you know, you might be interested in the website www.dreammoods.com. It has this whole dictionary of what certain things in dreams sometimes mean. A lot of the time the meanings don't match up, but sometimes you'll find something that really rings true ( ... )

yeah, I've checked that site a few times. ;-) It helps with symbols that don't have personal meaning to me, but in this particular dream, most elements did have personal meaning, so it didn't help too much. But thanks for the effort!

have you read anything by carlos casteneda? i would *highly* reccomend "the teachings of don juan" and oddly enough i owuldn't reccomend "the art of dreaming" as highly, but for a sepcific reason. i think you would love it, but it takes a really long time to get through, since it's kind of a guide-- it's not presented as a guide, but if you want to learn anything from it, you have to like, read a chapter and give it two weeks (or more!) until you've got the practice down and then pick it up again. since it takes me a long time to get on top of one idea, i still haven't finished it and i started it *years* ago, but i'd highly reccomend "the teachings of don juan" to start with

I don't think I'll ever have the patience it would take to read the guide-type one! But tell me a little more about "the teachings of don juan," I'm curious! Why that title?

don juan was the name of the shaman who was his spirit guide. if i had a copy of that i'd send it too, but i was borrowing the copy that i read, alas. shouldn't be hard to find used for cheap though-- i'd still highly reccomend it
