11 days is fast, I mean every 11 days without fail forever otherwise having society have your whole family looked down upon for breaking tradition seems intense.
ah. Well, you have to allow for the fact that songwriting is an inherent talent, second nature to them; they are more intelligent than the average human; and they are otherwise very repressed. I'd imagine that one slip-up wouldn't cause them to get thrown out, but more than once in a great while would. And missing two in a row would definitely be cause for excommunication.
Damn you, woman! Now I want to draw! (Hmm, I do have to ask though: if they have such pointed features otherwise, why the wide, flat nose? Trying to get the full catlike look?)
*double dog dares you to put in at least mention of a lad/maiden who chafes at all the extreme reservation, causes a great deal of scandel by constantly acting out in public, and then (of course) marries out*
I agree with the person above about the songwriting every eleven days too. I read your reasoning behind it, but I guess I'd have to see it in the text in order to believe it. It kinda reminds me of the Church before the Reformation. Everyone believed that the higher ups did everything the right way, but they were just as messed up as commoners. Oooh. You gave me an idea...unless that's the same vein you're on.
Interesting. I can't wait to hear more. Anyway I think the song every eleven days fits. Expecially if you make it so that they aren't always all that good or long or creative, rather like sromons are not always good, but you always have one. I love that song BTW.
I finally came back and read about The Edhelekharo. I have to say you have quite an imagination. I'll have to read more about your other races, I haven't yet looked at the Tallran.. did you post about them somewhere or should I just go to your site?
I haven't yet posted about them. First I posted about the Edhelekharo, next I will post about the Feanen, and then I will post about their mutual descendents, the Tallran.
