Yesterday, kittyfarmer and I went to the travel agent to book airline tickets for me. Not a ticket to New Zealand - I've already got one of those, thanks - but tickets back to America and then back to NZ ( Read more... )

Yay! Also, it will be very cool to see you and I expect you to be recovered from your jetlag by the time I get back. I'm taking DAYS off work to recover from my trip this time and expect to be ok by the weekend of the 26th Sept.

And I can't wait to do fans with you so that I can pick your brains!

One thing I learned about fans is that if you have ANY colourguard (i.e.baton-twirling, "marching girl" stuff) experience, it really, really helps your fan work. A friend of mine had never used fans before, picked up mine, and could immediately do tricks I could only dream of doing. He'd had five years of colourguard experience. Dammit! :)

Me? well, I just wave 'em around and see what happens. :P
