GOOD TOP FIVE. Tooth & Claw is so marvelous, and I'm a big Father's Day fan as well. ("I'm your dad. It's my job for it to be my fault" will never not make me cry.) And TIP/TSP is just ... love.

HEY THANKS. In a week I'll probably reread this and go "WHY DIDN'T I INCLUDE THIS EPISODE OR THAT EPISODE" but that is the curse of Who - it's all amazing. I hate that in a tv show!...

(I always cry a little right before he runs out into the street when he touches her face and says "who am I?" and she's saying "my daddy" ooowwww grief.)

Believe it or not, I really DON'T like Tooth & Claw that much-- and I really can't explain why. I mean, it has Tennant looking TRULY MAGNIFICENT in all of those layers; it contains my favorite line of the entire series; Ten singing along to Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick, the accent gags, WEREWOLF. There's so much to love. But when everyone gushes at how amazing it is, I always find myself going "myehhhh."

I can only assume it makes me so uncomfortable because I know in hindsight it's the beginning of the end for them. So where everyone else sees, as you said, the first "YAY WE'RE ON AN ADVENTURE" episode, I cannot forget that it's exactly that kind of childish disregard that ends up the instrument of their own destruction. But honestly, I felt like that the first time I watched it, too-- before I really knew what was going on. So I have no idea.

FUCK YEAH IMPOSSIBLE PLANET/SATAN PIT. Loooooooooooove.

That actually completely makes sense to me, and I've had similar thoughts about the way they laugh in the face of danger. Also, I love when you say things like this, because it makes me feel less like a crazy person for putting so much intense thought/emotion into things like this. Haaaa.
