Typing Speed Test
I bet you didn't know I was so impressive. Not even I knew I was so impressive. Also, fun Catey fact of the day: I type only with the middle three fingers on each hand, except I press the shift key with my right pinky. I don't know why. I never learned to type correctly. Thought apparently that's not cramping my style in my adult life! Oh God, do I have an adult life already? Time to end this train of thought.
Day 03 - Your Favourite New Series Episode
My favorite episodes change all the time so I am going to do a top five and also count two- or three-parters as a single episode, BECAUSE IT'S MY JOURNAL AND I'LL MEME HOW I WANT TO.
#1 - The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit
Guuuuuuh. It's intense and beautiful (visually) and beautiful (emotionally) and I LOVE the Ood and there are some really, just, guhsogorgeous lines and Rose is awesome and Ten is all "nooo I cannot confess my loooove" only he totally does anyway and it's kind of scary but awesomely so and the minor characters rock and I just have never found anything to not love about these episodes. AND I'VE WATCHED THEM A LOT.
#2 - Turn Left / The Stolen Planet / Journey's End
I actually get intensely offended when anyone doesn't think this was a good series finale. Love the massive companion reunion and the birth of TenII and even the return of the Daleks and I am TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THE ALTERNATE REALITY STUFF and Donna and Rose both being ~incredibly important~ and all the looooove. Great lines in this one too. The whole three-parter (IT IS OKAY) astounds me. Pitch perfect.
#3 - The Fires of Pompeii
I'm fascinated by big historical disasters like Pompeii and I ADORE Donna and this episode showcases really well how good her presence is for the Doctor and I fell in love with the family and I laugh out loud multiple times and I even think the sisterhood is pretty cool so HATERS TO THE LEFT.
#4 - Tooth and Claw
Seriously, does anyone not love this episode? It should probably be #3 actually. Victoria is my second favorite English monarch and the werewolf was handled really well I think as far as chessyness potential goes and this is another visually pretty one. Plus this for me is the first episode where Ten and Rose really have that "SQUEEEE WE'RE ON AN ADVENTURE!!!" vibe that makes their relationship so fun.
#5 - Father's Day
It breaks my heart every time, in the best way. I love a good father/daughter story and this one also has ROSE TYLER. Also I think Nine really kind of starts to realize how much he adores Rose in this episode. It's beautiful to watch.
