I'm working on it, ok?

I've been very careful of how much I eat in the last several days. I'm trying desperately to change my habits. Tom has lost ~40 pounds in the last several months just from reducing his intake. *sigh* It doesn't work quite so well for me since my world is even more sedentary than his is - I don't make it out of the house most days - he at least ( Read more... )

isn't it crazy how easily men can lose weight? argh. frustrating. maybe walking the dog will totally help...it's something you have to do anyway, right?:) good luck!!

SOOO not fair!

Actually, we have a doggie door and a fenced-in yard, so we don't walk her regularly. The yard is big enough for her to play and to do her "business." Maybe that's bad?

Anyway, walks are special for her - she gets all excited when I go for the leash. Really adorable.

I *did* take her for a walk right after typing this entry, and it felt good (once I was done). The path I chose took us up a hill, but the down part was fun! :) And, I feel good about taking that first step.

Cristy - I think starting to walk the dog again is a great idea, for you and your dog! :-)

And it really does take time to reset your mind and body to eat less when you're used to eating more, but keep at it and you'll get used to eating a bit less! :-)

It's requiring a HUGE amount of discipline. I'm finding myself at 7:30 at night CRAVING a bowl of cereal (cereal's my weakness), but I haven't had one yet this week. It's almost like AA or something - I'm taking it a day at a time; challenging myself not to eat an extra snack today. I'll worry about tomorrow when it comes!

Would so love to try that. I've read people on lj talk about how much fun it can be. Unfortunately, purchasing the system is not in the budget at this moment. I love the idea for later, tho!

My boyfriend, who used to basically only focus on work and law school and shut all fun out, now spends all day thinking about how much he was at home with Wii Fit. I don't know that it's great for long-term massive weight loss, but it's definitely gotten us off the couch.

I've daydreamed about having a treadmill in the living room so I could watch movies while walking, and the wii stuff looks like so much more fun than walking. And, yes, getting off the couch is definitely what I'm trying to do!
