I finally had my first day off in 16 days. I slept through most of it. I had to go to work today, but I was looking forward to some mindless television viewing. I get home to find Melissa watching the new 90210. It started ten minute ago. I am in my office typing this. Holy, Jesus, who came up with that show? Wheee!!!!
My first real earthquake. Hooray! It was pretty surreal. The walls and ceiling very visibly moved back and forth and not in any kind of sync. That was creepy but I had some faith that my office building was of sound engineering. The assitant editor of the movie I'm working on flew out of the studio and bolted for the streets. Fear Itself - The Sacrifice
I finally watched the first episode of Fear Itself in a conducive listening enviroment. I went to a viewing party at a local bar which was a terrible idea for actually watching the show. But I was mainly there to watch the crowd and they reacted appropriately and positively.

Fear Itself
My newest show premiers tomorrow night. Fortunately, the Laker game should be over by 10PM on the west coast so we don't lose a top 3 media market. I really hope the show does well. It's the most challenging show I've worked on and, as a result, it's the most gratifying.

I actually went to the movies. Real movies. It was weird.

My brain is getting in the way. I can't tell if enjoyed the movie out of pure nostalgia or if it was actually a good movie that compares favorably to the previous three. Probably a little of both. It was fun and silly and wildly entertaining but still resorted to digital ( Read more... ) -

Unless the imdb gets their act together and re-posts my credits for LA Dicks and the 4400 (credits I deserve, dammit!), my 100th sound department credit will be a straight-to-video Steven Seagal movie. I am awesome. -
Damn... now I have to exercise
I had to join a gym. That sucks. My weight loss on Weight Watchers was going swimmingly. Forty-four pounds since Thanksgiving. All by not eating like an asshole. I knew the day would come when I actually had to burn calories. I just hoped it wouldn't be this soon ( Read more... )
