I've noticed on a LOT of fics lately (not just here, this is one of the better forums) that make BB 30' tall, and ones like Ironhide 50'. And I don't mean just "human perception", either. Just something I've been noticing, and it's a little jarring - cuz if Ironhide was 50', then Prime = about 55-60, and Megs 60-65 *eek*.

Glad to help - I've never thought it was intentional, but still...

IIRC, most of the minobots in G1 were ~7-8', next (Hound, Mirage, Prowl) ~15', and Ratchet & that tier were ~20-22'; with Prime being about 25'... that sound right? (I just remember seeing the movie heights, and thinking "dayum - Meg & Prime's fight is gonna trash the town".

If I ever start writing outside of movieverse (which I might, if I ever take the time to watch a decent amount of episodes), I'll keep that in mind!

P.S. I find you referring to Megatron as "Meg" highly amusing.

Looking at that list, the fact that Bumblebee is taller than Jazz is weird.

If you look at G1 cartoon/toy specs, Bumblebee is by far the smallest in the bunch. Bumblebee is supposed to be a Minibot. Theywere made much smaller than the Regular Autobots.

It's always so weird watching the movie and seeing how big bee is in it, and how much bigger in comparison to the other bots he is.

I've read that the only remotely 'official' height of BB capped at 15 feet, and that he was like the 'younger brother' figure of the Autobots.

Maybe Jazz did battle with a washing machine and was defeated. :/

I remember hearing that Michael Bay was disappointed they couldn't get a bigger car from GM for Jazz, so I figure that limited the height.
