movie heights FYI

I've noticed on a LOT of fics lately (not just here, this is one of the better forums) that make BB 30' tall, and ones like Ironhide 50'. And I don't mean just "human perception", either. Just something I've been noticing, and it's a little jarring - cuz if Ironhide was 50', then Prime = about 55-60, and Megs 60-65 *eek*.

I can't help but think of something, though...

*Following the damned sterotypical Height rule prevalent in most fandoms (that which states the taller is the 'top'), Bumblebee'd be bottom for Ratchet; Barricade would play bottom to Starscream; Optimus would be the submissive in what would most likely be a very disturbing foursome with Megatron, Blackout and Starscream; and Frenzy would spend most of his existance fleeing for the continued preservation of his spark. Oh, P.S. these are the actor's actual height that I found, so they may actually are meant to be taller or shorter (they do that sometimes in movies, but I really don't see the point here.)

Someone beat me to looking up height info! I agree, I always found it odd that a majority of people were making the Autobots out to averaging around 30 feet tall (3 stories in perspective to a building). I'm sure that it's nigh near impossible for a 10 foot long car (rough guess lol) to triple its size (ignoring the fact that we can't make transforming cars either). That's one thing I loved about the animation, CG, and character designs about the movie: they took in the respective size of each vehicle in the transformation sequences, etc. It's just so spectacularly done.

And I know Bumblebee was meant to be a minibot, but I just never saw him as one. Even in the cartoons he was only a little bit smaller than the other Autobots. ;o; And I know in Armada the minibots were roughly 8-9 feet tall themselves. Iunno!

Thanks a ton for exact heights though! It's much better than guessing!

Honestly, heights matter little to me. Yes, its weird that a 7ft long car changes into a 30 ft robot.

WELL CARS DON'T TRANSFORM INTO ROBOTS EITHER. D<

End point, I don't mind whatever people list heights as. Its all subjective for me. :)
