First, tonight's Midnight is the deadline for the icon contest. Tagging just makes it insanely easier for people to sift through entries. Like moi when she needs a certain fic. XD

Okay, this may be a v. stupid question, but not being a big lj user...

Are there specific tags we should be using? Can I find a list of the tags used in this journal anywhere, so I can use ones other people are using? What exactly should we be tagging?

Well when you post your entry, there is a little "tag" button in that list there. It then gives you a large list of pre-made tags for you to use.

But if you think your topic doesn't fit into one of those, you could make your own. Or a misc. one, I suppose. DK is teh final authority on that.

I honestly don't care so long as it tells me what I'm gonna be clicking. a smutfic can just have "smut, fic" tags and art can just have "fanart" tags - if it's a human!Bee fic/art, it should have the "human!Bee" tag, etc. etc. I could care less... it's just easier to find stuff *nods*

Blah. VERY GOOD QUESTION.

Go here to see the list of already made tags. The things you should be looking for when tagging can be found on the info page, in the rules.

I'm actually new to tags too, but they work so well in other communities I figure why not XD
