Child: Because we got her a slushie so she didn't whine about not getting one.
Me(paraphrased): What a terrible reason to do something for someone.
Child: Actually it was my mom's idea.
Me: Ok, That doesn't make your comment any better.

I'm not drunk
So about a week before The Rent passed, I took my little girl (9) to visit her as she was in physical therapy (supposedly going to get better here and go home). There were no parking spots, and I had The Rent's Handicap plaque. So I pull into one of those spots and she says "But daddy you aren't drunk."

The Rent is gone.
After a few months fighting with an infection. She is gone. She will be missed and I have recently started to return to feeling like I'm headed in the same lonely direction.

Return Failure
So if you can't tell between my last post and my current, I utterly failed to return to journaling. Kicking off super weak now, with a reminder to self that my nausea was super bad 2 days starting on Feb 10th. Mostly has been barely there for the last 2. So much has happened, and perhaps we'll start getting caught up soon.

A return to journaling
Let's see how long I can keep this up. I think I should return to journaling. It's only been about 10 years since my last serious post. I now have an 8 yr old, a 3 yr old, a stable family, and a stable career. I spent most of last night playing Grant Theft Auto 5 for the first time ( Read more... ) -
