Never heard of the Sarah dolls - what's the story behind that then?

It's based on a saying we have when you turn 50: at that age 'you have seen Abraham/Sarah' (A for men, S for women) - refering to the old biblical couple Abraham and Sarah. Originally this birthday was celebrated with a puppet cookie. After some bakers made a huge one as a gift for our Queen's husband, it became tradition to place either a big Sarah or Abraham puppet (not a cookie;) in front of the house of the birthday person, usually decorated with the number 50.
