SPN_Reversebang 2017 The Second
For my second submission to this year's spn_reversebang I went full fangirl; I chose to feature my favorite 'ship plus I gave Jensen his old school BFF Chris to watch over him and Jared to make fun of him:) I was thrilled to lure in an author who I know from my corner of the fandom sandbox but never had the pleasure to play with. There was lots of squeeing behind the scenes and then this happened:) Enjoy!

They're a whole lot better than he is at flirting and talking and not falling over their own feet. Oh, and also... they're occasionally imaginary.

I was so immensely giddy that whiskygalore was inspired by Jeff's real life adventure with the spider, I just had to play with it too. Heehee. He is such a dork.

PAPERCUTTING
My pencil sketch with the annoying cupids idea had Jared waving and grumpy Chris sitting down. Then I found that awesome photo of Jared sitting with his legs swinging and Chris grumpily crouching down and the whole thing came together \o/
In my head I had made glasses!Jeff a professor, but I kept all options open with my prompt: Jensen has a crush on (much) older Jeff (his professor? landlord? neighbour? favorite coffeeshop manager?). On his shoulders are an excited/mischievous Jared Padalecki (with wings!) and a reserved/grumpy Christian Kane (with cupid's arrows!). Are they figments of his imagination, matchmakers, his conscience, funky fairies???
Our goal is to get Jensen and Jeff together, will they help or hinder? You decide:)
The paperwings happened because I wanted to combine my two loves: Photoshopping and Papercutting. To challenge myself, I cut them freehand:)
I did make pencil doodle sketches of the coffeecups and splashes; I then simply put that drawing on top of coloured paper and simultaneously cut three colours.
I got a little bit of sunshine for the photoshoot, but didn't use the original shadows; I added that effect digitally:)
Ah, yes, the spider! I used Jeff's twitterpic as a reference and cut it in purple and red.
Tadaah. They're cute, really. Why are you running away? :-p
