Trust me, I *wish* I didn't have a life...

Those of you who have been around here for awhile (oh, heyy, guys. I haven't pissed you off enough to leave yet??) have heard this song and dance before, but for all the newbies who are through just sharpening the pitchforks and are already storming off to raid the castle with Gaston, here you go:

No, I haven't died (Fortunately? Unfortunately?). No ( Read more... )

24, alive

1) I care. Give it to me. I'm expecting facial shingles level of crazy here. 2) Let's be honest here, it wouldn't be a typical Bee return after a typical months-long absence without the typical excuses. You're ruining the natural order of things here. Bad things could happen. The newbies have to learn this somehow, right? They'll never know the pain we survivors of the Great '07-'08 Abandonment felt, but they can damn well learn this.

Keep your chin up, my dear. And get back to work or I might be tempted to flood your inbox. With words.

1) Um, facial shingles? Seriously? What is this, 2010? We've moved on to the big leagues now. No more petty ailments for us Dailys. We're rocking the serious shit now. Ohhh, yeah. 2) But look how long this post was already. I considered the excuses--don't you think I didn't!--but then my fingers were like, "The fuck you doing?" and I was all, "Ehhh," and that was the end of the excuse idea.

Really, in the end, all I'm doing is trying to build your character. You feel grateful now that this isn't GA '07-'08, right? Exactly. So I'm teaching you patience. And life lessons. And other Really Important Things. People are SO selfish these days.

Speaking of inboxes flooding with words...so do you remember that time you were all, "Hey, send me the chapter, I'll edit it," and I was all, "Ha, sucka"? Well, it's almost done and the last time I checked, baby topped 50,000 words. Hope that's not, like, an issue or anything. I mean, you weren't planning on doing anything else for the next couple of weeks, right? Oh, good ( ... )

You know, judging by the number of people expressing fears of your untimely and gruesome death when you take these "vacations", you should probably update your will with your LJ username/pass and instructions for informing the public. Hell, you could even pre-write the entry yourself and just get your executor to post it. "Boy, that was stupid. Sorry, guys! P.S. They still die at the end." Short, simple, effective.

Really trying to break me in the hard way, aren't you? But I made a guarantee of two days and I'm sticking by it, dammit, even if it kills me. (Death by Commentarius? A harsh way to go, to be sure. Harsh, and pathetic.) I have an 18-hour round trip by car coming up in early August so, you know, lots of reading time. I could even read it aloud to Geoff while he's driving to keep him entertained. Terrible British accent and everything. He'd probably be begging me to stop before we even passed Albany ( ... )

I wish LJ had a 'Like' button like Facebook does so I could use it on this post!

Glad to hear your life has calmed down a bit!

Oh, and I'll be there with you at 80 with my own cats. :D

After I've spotted an update I was shouting/laughing/gesturing so much and so loudly that my mom actually asked if I'm alright and if anything happened (the answer would be yes!).

Anyway, I am glad you updated. And a trip to the Beast's castle was delayed cause it turned out that nobody knows its location :D. No, really, it was kinda ok here, but people were worried about you.

Just let me say that I am really looking forward to Ch-24. And - if you can at least a little bit - keep us updated. Write entries about anything you can think of but write them ;).

Good luck with your crazy life!

Oh, dear. I hope your mother is all right? Not too worried? No thoughts of institutions? ;P

Sorry for worrying you, but as I said, it's been crazy. Perhaps I am glad that my castle is unplottable...sometimes. *grin*

Unless someone else in my family decides to fall off a cliff or get run down by a bus, I think we'll be okay on the staying around front. I am going to try to turn July into a March--I owe you guys at least that much, right? =)

Thanks for the well wishes!

Whee!!! A Bee update! I'm just happy that you're alive. You are definitely right that family comes first. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an asshole, tbh. Although it makes me sad that there's still no fresh milk, I will occupy my time by rereading and looking foreward to the multimedia stuff that's soon to come. Godspeed with your writing! (Idk, I just felt like saying " godspeed" ;D)

I am happy I'm alive, too! My family unfortunately would probably be better off living in giant bubbles, but until we can pack them all in one, I have to deal with the fallout. But everyone is in recovery now. Huzzah!

I apologize for withholding the dairy that is so important to your nutrition. Hopefully I can make up for this soon? ;D

Hey, godspeed is a pretty cool word. Kudos.
