I was bummed about the world not ending on August 22. I was thinking about this the other day, as I got behind a truck of someone who thought it was cool to put in his back window, in big bold white letters- "GOT R DONE"

Fortunately, I take some solace in the fact that the world will end on September 12.

Thanks for writing the Doomsday screed I would have written if I had any talent.

Now, you will explain to me what is this 'Got R Done' thing of which you speak. Football reference? Hooters slogan? Vague Bible sales campaign? Hillary joke? What?

You got talent. Have you read your blog? You should. It's pretty good.

"Get R Done" is the catch phrase of "redneck" comedian Larry the Cable Guy. Larry is a discovery of Jeff Foxworthy, and is sort of a cruder version of Jeff's work- very much "I'm a dumb redneck".

As much as it will probably hurt my credibility, I think Foxworthy is usually funny. Larry generally isn't funny.

To be fair, Larry is probably making a fortune on "Git-R-Done" keychains and beer coozies that are available at gas stations eveywhere.

I'm just waiting for Dubya to say "Git-R-Done"
