“Be careful, James,” Molly advised as she watched the two meet like a slow-motion scene in some film before turning her attention to Claire. She felt a little rude, given James just passed Claire up without a second's thought for his best friend since birth, but she offered Claire an apologetic smile and a thankful hug to try to amend the situation.
She also just needed a hug by someone who didn't pull her hair for fun.

Watching as they crashed into each other and fell to the ground to hug each other tightly, Claire laughed softly as she didn't seem to even mind that she had been passed up by James in favor of her son.
Turning to Molly, she hugged the younger girl close while rubbing a hand over her back gently. She knew she needed some kind comfort in that moment and Claire had learned some of the tricks to do just that over the years. "Come in, I'm just making some chai." Like it was an every day action for her and it was somehow Fate that had Molly showing up at the right time.

One of the perks of being a Clairvoyant was she didn't need to look over her shoulder to know that her son was stripped down to his diaper, spinning around and around in circles. At least it's not in public, she thought, thankful for small miracles.
