1. First character I fell in love with: Agent Smith. It was mostly a physical reaction: Hugo Weaving is enormously sexy. As I analyzed his character for writing purposes, I got more and more enmeshed in how utterly insane he was, and how a program could have gotten that way

11. What character would I like to be like: Trinity. Yeah, yeah. She's a powerful female character, who also gets a man worthy of her. I want to be that badass, but I also want someone that I could love as deeply as she loves Neo.
To avoid being an ass, I'll assume you mean the G1 cartoon. *grins*
1. First character I fell in love with: Soundwave. I've always been entranced by voices, and he's got quite a distinctive voice. The more I studied him, the more interested I got. He's one of the very competent people on the show, but he doesn't ever make a move for leadership until the Movie

1. First character I fell in love with: Megabyte. It was the voice, the skill, the villainy, the guitar... He's the one who gave me my obsession with metallic megalomaniacs.
2. Character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Dot Matrix. At first, I just viewed her as Bob's love interest. Then I began to notice how much she actually does on her own. Then along came the end of Season Two and the whole of Season Three. Damn, that woman's got skills, courage, and sheer stubborness

The character that I love that everyone else hates: Adult AndrAIa. Yes, she and Matrix have issues, but they also work very well together. I don't view her as particularly clingy as an adult. More likely, she's the one supporting Matrix's psyche, not him supporting hers.
I agree. I think that a lot of people misunderstand her completely and don't see the subtleties. She's vertainly got the strength to survive in her own; we've seen her show her stuff time and again. But why should she want to if she loves Matrix? Loving someone and knowing them well enough to see below the exterior is not a sign of weakness.
10. A pairing that I despise: Dot/Matrix. I know this exists. And I loathe it with every fibre of my being. There is no frelling way this can ever be justified in a fic.
Agreed. Despite timeline discontinuities, they are brother and sister. Pairing them is incest, which is nasty.
I don't remember the arguments for why it was wrong of AndrAIa to stick with Matrix, but I do remember that I never liked them. She's not sticking to him, because "he's all she knows" - she's perfectly willing to flirt with Ray, which implies that she gets along fine with other guys.
I could not see her falling apart if Matrix left her. I could see him falling apart if she left him.
Also, I skipped a question.
11) What character would I like to be like: Dot Matrix. She's fragging awesome.
I guessed your answers would look something like that. #2 and #6 surprised me the most. Dunno why.
Sympathies with the J/HW pairing. Though we don't get very much fics with that pairing anymore. Jade/Drago seems to be a lot more popular now. Do you have any recs for the latter? I've stayed well away from it for the most time.
I was dithering over Jade being the answer to #2, but she honestly fits #6 much better. 'Sides, Hak Foo doesn't get enough love.
I don't really have much recs for Jade/Drago, because I've mostly avoided it, too. I like the version I wrote, but, well, I wrote it. Of course, I'm going to like it. ;-)
You actually got me in the mood to browse JCA, so I may find something interesting over the next few days.
