"Hey," Zuko's boyfriend said as Zuko came stumbling through the door of their apartment.
Zuko tossed his backpack down on the couch and flung himself on the floor. He felt wound up still, like the bass line was in his blood, and the pole was shining just out of sight. He wanted to dance, and he wanted to dance for just the joy of it, rather than for joy and money both.
"Bad night?" Jee asked, crouching down next to him. His hand touched the small of Zuko's back.
"No one mistook me for a whore, no one got grabby, no one tipped like an asshole," Zuko rasped out.
Jee pressed a kiss along the edge of the scar. "Your dad did something."
Zuko shook his head. "Azula."
At that name, Jee drew him up and into his arms, and Zuko gratefully let himself be cradled there. As long as he was here, he was safe. He didn't live under his father's roof anymore; sure, that meant he didn't have the money, but he also didn't have the abuse.
He'd take Jee's ratty apartment over Father's fancy suites any day of the year.

Lieutenant Ji patted her son on the shoulder. He was doing well for himself; obviously whoever managed his promotions paid attention to his ability rather than his disgraced mother.

"Honey, I don't tell you who to fuck, so don't you do it with me." Her lips curved in a smile. "Besides, jealousy over who is sleeping with the princess is unbecoming when it's your own dear mother."

I am so sorry that this meme is over now. All these verses just make me hope for more continuation, especially wild west, cyberpunk, urban fantasy, harem and pirates. ^^ The cop part made me howl in glee, because Lethal weapon is right now coming from tv in Finland and we saved it in our digibox. I am right now watching the number 2. Jee as Murtaugh and Zuko as in Riggs is frigging awesome.
