Eep! That was unexpected. I hesitate to say that it was wonderful, because Hotch just beat someone to death and Rossi's all, "Yay!" but. That was wonderful. It's hard to get a character's voice across in so few words, but you did.

I think sometimes people forget that Rossi is not just abrasive, but also has a dark side. That's definitely the Rossi that was fondling Mason Turner's tube, there.

I think sometimes people forget that Rossi is not just abrasive, but also has a dark side.

And oh man, does he ever have a dark side. I LOVE HIM FOR IT, but it is *there*. Fondling Mason Turner's tube, 'here just shoot yourself with my gun' re: Hotch falling apart, the connections to organized crime just. I love Rossi. I LOVE Rossi, but the man is not sunshine and butterflies.

And if ANYONE is going to get WHY Hotch lost his shit and beat Foyet to death, and be *HAPPY* about it? It's Rossi. Hotch took control back and made damn sure that he *never* has to worry about Foyet again, either for himself or Jack. Rossi likes that plan, I think.

I mean yick and yuck but. I can't imagine Rossi not going 'Good boy' somewhere in the back of his mind *G* (Thank you and. Sorry for the lack of warning)

Rossi's dark side is so disturbing. He actually looks kind of huggable, like a kindly old uncle. And he's so refined. But then he'll do stuff like telling the judge in the mob episode that he fucked his wife, just because, and doesn't even bother to correct the team's impression of him. It's a little creepy.

(Thank you and. Sorry for the lack of warning)

Heh, the lack of warning really worked because, much like the scene where Rossi starts looming over Turner, it started with me going, "Hmm, yes, I agree a little badassery is in order here" and ended with me going, ":o"

Thanks so much for writing this! It was exactly what I wanted and I didn't even know it.

Very good little fic! Of course Rossi approves. The man believes in evil, he's been in his job for who knows how many years by now (and when he wasn't, he was writing books about his job), there's no way he would disapprove. I'm not even sure Garcia would disapprove of the end result or what Hotch did, given what led up to it happening, and if she might not disapprove, I don't know who would.

Rossi's all kinds of bad ass and I love him for it (And I suspect you're right - they closed ranks around Hotch during Strauss' investigation REALLY well). Thanks!
