It was then that I realized I'm totally in TV love with her. From her sassy ponytail right down to her toes. And I know she's terrible sometimes, in that one-dimension "straight up bitch" way, but like you said: Naya's little facial expressions are so killer.
And she's really pretty.
But yeah, the "David" thing got me. I know it's probably one of those things that will turn up in fic now, but it caught me off guard. How it's something that no one else has ever called him (besides maybe Principal Figgins, which doesn't count) and how Kurt was really being himself for the first time in a while with the All About Eve reference and the impatient Hummel bitchery and all. I have frequently wondered why it is that I can't stand Will Schuester when I can attribute the rage-inducing actions of every other character to crappy writing. Is it because he's supposed to be the adult mentor figure? Is it because I'm also a teacher? Is it because he has so much screentime that he just has more time for the writers to fuck up his character? I think it's a combination of all three. Which isn't to say that I wouldn't love for the writers to turn his character around, because Matthew Morrison is hella talented. That would require the writers to stop trying to make Will/Emma happen and focus on Will as a teacher and his awesome friendship with Shannon Beiste, though. I CAN DREAM ( ... )

And it's also... I don't mean to make light of bullying or how terrified Kurt was. But, honestly, what kid hasn't thrown around the "I'll kill you" line at some point in their teenage lives? Though, I must also say that reading the manga has given me a new appreciation for the anime, so I'm also all for watching the anime from the beginning! (Which is what I'm in the middle of, too! Except I kind of want to rewatch the first season again right nooooow--!)
