Well, a little detente...

Was very happy that Bill went to see her, and encourage her.

Was pleasantly surprised that Kara gets why Lee is acting like he is... boy has a 8 foot thick wall up. He wants his Kara back.... that being said, I still want to smack him a little.

Can't wait to see what her sticking by him during the fight does for the relationship rebuilding... *crosses fingers and hopes for good things really, really hard*

Hope you don't mind a rambly question... I was intrigued by an observation latte made. That Kara realizes Lee's let her go.

I guess I'd gotten from the way Lee is acting that he hasn't let Kara go, that's why thinking this is a cylon replacement or that his friend was a cylon has given him the personality of a testy badger.

Can I ask, since you're writing it, unless it'll give away major plot points, is Lee over Kara?

Hi pi, I don't think Lee has let Kara go either, he's carrying around her memory in his head and heart. I was just observing from Kara's POV that Lee has let her go - because he thinks she's a Cylon. But Kara's still stuck in her own head and can't be anything more or less than what she is, so from her perception Lee has let her go, wants nothing to do with her, wants her out the nearest airlock.

it was late at night, I probably didn't make my meaning very clear.

the personality of a testy badger

that's funny

*snugs you*

You get a cookie for remedial reading.

Usually I'm not so into talking about it. I mean... I kinda love Roland Barthes theories on The death of the author, basically that it doesn't matter what I think. It matters what the *reader* thinks.

but yes. Kara's traumatized. Don't forget it, and no matter how much she's trying to get back into the swing of who she was, she really does need to figure out who and what she is and has been through before she can look beyond herself.

Yep, just wonderful.

I'm starting to sympathise more with Lee and his struggle (didn't think it would happen quite so soon) but Helo? He is gold! Pure gold. I love how he couldn't sit still and let things slide, and more importantly, I LOVE that Helo knocked some sense into Lee instead of looking for the culprits personally.

Adama giving Kara the emotional kick she needed to get her fighting spirit back was such a great scene. He was hard but not overboard like he was in 'Torn.' I love this line...The Admiral rolled his eyes and pulled the sheet back up, “I said warrior, not idiot. You can’t walk. Yet.”

When Lee saw Dee's name at the top of the list but didn't want to jump to any conclusions so he went to Kara for confirmation...it had me wondering. Surely Lee would know that Kara (cylon or not) wouldn't point any fingers. Was that Lee's way of having to avoid dealing with Dee? Does Lee think Dualla is incapable of such actions?

Besides, if Dee was going to answer for her part in her suffering, it would be to Kara and Kara alone. ( ... )

Helo… ahhh *snugs him and his ambiguous past sexual ties to Kara*, I kind of love the idea of him championing the underdog. I think it’s a compulsion for him and - boy man - it doesn’t always serve him well.

Was that Lee's way of having to avoid dealing with Dee?

I think so. Because even if Kara had said “Yeah, Dee fucked me up.” Lee would then have been all “OMG I can’t trust her she’s a Cylon!” it was almost a guarantee that he wouldn’t have to take Dee to task.

Does Lee think Dualla is incapable of such actions? You know what? I think he does. I think he, them, me and other writers forget that Dee *can* fight. I mean - has the physical capacity and training. We’ve seen her spar with Lee. I don’t know about fleet training, but we can assume that like most other forces she’s got to have the rudimentary close-quarters-combat training. So she can… but would she? She wouldn’t be in an armed force if they weren’t satisfied that she could engage someone in a physically aggressive manner should the need arise. Possibly I’m looking too ( ... )

Okay, still wondering is she or isn't she?

I love that the Admiral, not Lee, is the one to kick-start her! "The Gods chose you ... because you are the meanest, toughest sonofabitch left in all the colonies ... You are a warrior, Kara, act like it!” Alot of the other fics have it (lee, not Adama believing) the other way around, so its a nice twist here. Love Helo always.

So another cliffie, you really have to stop jerking us around (hee).

Other random thoughts:
a. Glad Tyrol (Cylon) with our girl (but what about Cally, heh?)
b. Is Adama regretting that his Earth-detector is out in the fray (if he isn't then Roslin will have his butt)
c. About the nuggets in hack, is Dee wth them? Do the Marines take their side or maybe they like Kara enough to beat them up just a little? (Clue, I want VENGENCE for our favorite pilot). how will Sam be treated by the other nuggets?

Is Adama regretting that his Earth-detector is out in the fray

Yes. Big time.

is Dee wth them?

Kara didn't confirm her actions and we can assume that she was the only one Lee didn't approach directly. So he approached the nuggets and got a confession or near enough... but Dee remains un-punished.

Fav lines: "What would she have done? If it had been Lee? She would have set her Viper right on his ass and followed him all the way down. She bit her lip and gently shook the answer from her head."

I secretly love that one too.

maybe this will wake him up?

*sigh* You'd think so, wouldn't you?

Just awesome, I'm definitely enjoying this one. You've fleshed out both Lee and Kara's POVs really well.

And your descriptions are perfect: Left, right, one fingered salute to the Marine, sunglasses on, provocative arch of the eyebrow for Tigh, slap of her flight suit against her thigh, left, right. -- What an image!
