Housewarming

Hahahahaha, I love B naming and referring to the trees, as well as his color sense. As a synesthete, I'm in love with his color choices, and appreciative of where they came from (the Van Gogh reference).

Was it that European-style kissing, where you have to kiss each side of the face? I never know which side they're going in for, and whether we're going to do it two or three times. It always feels like I'm getting sucked into somebody's bizarre OCD ritual; one I'd rather avoid.

I definitely don't like the kiss-kiss. Too Manhattan.

Oh, Jebus, I got the multiple attack, also a one cheek smooch. I think, yeah. the uncertainty of what I am supposed to do is part of the dislike. If I had everyone doing that when I was young, I might be used to it, not feel awkward?

Are you ultimately glad you went? bec_87rb July 8 2016, 14:24:38 UTC
Completely. Even with the enforced kissing. The homeowners are weird, but also very kind and decent people. Wish there were more like them.

In my family, we always named our cars. Horatio, Mary Lou Jane, Sam, Jezebel, etc.

Was there any pattern in which cars received female names?

Well, now that you mentioned it, Horatio was Daddy's, Mary Lou Jane was Muh's, Sam was Daddy's, Jezebel was the (balky) family station wagon, so, yes.

The car as an extension of the body. :)
