Today Elmer was to install the Cambria Fieldstone lavatory top, which is banjo style, creating a curvy deck across one half of the room, to act as an expanse of shelving. E arrives around 8:40 having stopped to get something on the way, stays until 5:30 getting the shower floor installed. Thus far, Elmer called at 8:05 to tell me he was in traffic; he arrived at 8:30, but by now, I understand and accept like a good scientist that 8:00 is the lower bound of arriving, not an arithmetic mean or actual arrival time, so I didn't even blink.
