Grandpa Sidney was a little crippled by a stroke which he had suffered shortly before my parents' marriage, so I only really remember seeing him seated, with a cane nearby. I picture him thusly, bald, ancient, seated, in a room in a clapboard house he built for grandmother. So, I have no memory of him standing next to anyone
