Nah, not squicked at all. I've seen the covers of too many romance novels with the whole noble savage stuff to think that it isn't a thang for some folks. I do like the response too, makes total sense to me, lol.

On another funny note with that theme, my former fella was 3/4 Santee Sioux and he used to tell me "we can dance and play drums, just don't ask us to sing. Have you heard our Native singing? sheesh!"
