Feeling in a Christmassy mood...

Update on grad school applications: two are completely submitted! \o/ If nothing else, I have a fair chance at getting into the University of Western Ontario and the good old U of A! I'm still working on three more, though to save money (each application requires a $100 fee to be considered) I may let one drop. We shall see.

Anyway, the Christmas ( Read more... )

"Santa Baby" is only tolerable when it's sung by Eartha Kitt, because then you can pretend it's Catwoman singing. And that makes it a lot more fun. :D

Good luck with those applications! My school charges $75 for applications (well our Graduate School does, they get all the money. LOL).

Good luck getting into Western! (iirc you said that was your first choice?)

Yum, tea!

And yes, "Santa Baby" has got to be one of the worst Christmas songs to ever have been written. (What I do not understand is why they keep playing it on the radio. Does anyone like it?) Also, "Little Drummer Boy", but I think feelings are more mixed on that one. People seem to either love it or hate it (and I am of the latter).

Love Sarah McLachlin's cover of "River", though it always feels more winter-y than Christmas-y, per se.

I dunno, Cassidy dear, I quite like the "Little Drummer Boy." See this Celtic Woman performance of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEcCGN7diwU

It's definitely not in the same class in my mind as "Santa Baby". ;)

Definitely not in the same league as "Santa Baby", but it's still a song that I turn the radio off every time it plays... ;)
