Small moment of panic...

I've been working on my homework today, mainly that four way book review for a class I'm taking with my honour's research supervisor. It's not as terrible as it sounds: you pick four books on the same topic and compare and contrast how they're addressed. I picked American Women's roles in the Second World War, and I've finished reading the books ( Read more... )

I can help you with the breadth and diversity thing! If you look in the calendar, at the beginning where they list all the majors and the requirements for them? Right near the beginning of the Arts section is "Arts Chart 1" -- the basic requirements. Under group three, you get: anthropology; earth and atmospheric sciences (some of their classes are arts classes); economics; interdisciplinary undergraduate; linguistics (♥); middle eastern and african studies; political sciences; psychology (some of the psych classes are arts classes); science, technology, and society; sociology; and women's studies ( ... )

I've managed to find a Women's Studies (201) course that fits my schedule. :) Thanks! I did find that page in the calendar, so everything regarding my degree SHOULD be fine...

As for the Smithsonian internships... I think that I'm going to apply for one - perhaps the fall one, but maybe the summer one, too, but unfortunately, they're all volunteer. And I need money. D:

The JET programme application due date is in like two days - not going to happen. D: I should have thought of it far earlier... Also, I'm probably going to just call you. I feel anxious.

I'm mostly just anxious about my future job prospects...

Hopefully everything works out fine. (I know a guy who switched from a Chemistry major to a Philosophy major this year; he took Women's Studies 201 this term and said he enjoys the class so much he's making it his minor.)
