Me? I don't even know what I am right now. Idealistically, I'm a liberal, leaning towards socialism. But right now, I think that the Conservatives are what's best for Canada. Seriously. Dion is a nice guy, but he doesn't know what he's doing. Plus, he kind of screwed himself over by making a deal with the Bloc Quebecois. Not a good plan. Seriously.
But the leadership convention is coming IGNATIEFF SHOULD WIN, then I will actually vote Liberal, haha. I'm actually considering buying a membership to the Liberal party so I can vote him in ♥
The complete gong show of our government has me alternately wanting to laugh hysterically and bang my head against the wall. *sigh* What are the chances of all of this leading to an electoral reform?
We can only hope. You know what the funny thing is? In my pre-confederate history class, in the week before the news re: the coalition hit, my history teacher was telling us about the coalition that Sir John A. MacDonald formed with Cartier and Brown to form a majority so they could push through Confederation. Then, he briefly mentioned a few other coalitions that Canada has had since - and he mentioned in passing that the last one was so bad that there was no way that Canada would ever have a coalition ever again.
