My friend Simon goes to school in Kenya. It's always so refreshing and inspiring to read his diary. He learns so much being surrounded by a non-American, relatively poor culture. Holy crap God provides. My boss told me that he only has enough work for me to give me 20 hours a week instead of 40 hours from now on. And this very day I realized what I'm going to do to make up for the lost hours: substitute teach. I don't know how I didn't realize this before. Libraries hire performers for their summer reading programs to get kids involved. My goal is to book 12 juggling/magic shows at libraries for this summer. I just booked my third show and I am very excited. I am 25% to my goal.

In about two weeks I have a show for an adult birthday party. I'm kind of nervous. I usually perform for kids.

This guy was talking about how after a year of marriage he found himself focusing on all the ways his wife wasn't satisfying him or meeting his needs. While reading a story he suddenly realized that the point isn't how his wife could satisfy him but how he could satisfy his wife. Our current landlord that apparently is a Christian is not very nice. Our old landlord that was a lesbian and was very nice. Our current landlord is often mean when I talk to her on the phone.
