Thank you. My mother went into the hospital as Hurricane Florence was moving in, and at the time I remember it felt like the anxiety of the outer world (and the devastation that followed) matched my own.
Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that this prompt has led many of us to reflect on what is the impact of close family and/or friends who have preceded us in death. I alluded to it in my entry. I just read my son Kris's (emo_snal) entry where he contemplates his grandfather's death. His closing words meditate on what he thinks happens with his deceased grandparents. I think your take is similar to both of ours. I really like your description of the state of your harried mind being like a hurricane with the barometric pressure dropping. I think you nailed it. Brava.
