dye reaction, scent replacement, boots, tights

1) I asked a question about hair dye a few weeks ago, and I have another: has anyone here ever had a bad, bad reaction to hair dye? Or had a friend who's had a bad reaction? I know I can do a spot test, but I'm still a little nervous about it. I basically want reassurance that the likelihood for this is very, very low, unless, of course, it isn't.

1) The vast majority of people never have any reaction to hard dye. If you have a lot of sensitivities or allergies then do a spot test first. I did have one coworker who was hospitalized from a reaction to hairdye.

I don't have any allergies (except seasonal ones) so although I'll do a spot test, it sounds like I'll probably be okay. :)

2) why dont you just order more from the site you posted? 4 bucks for fragrance... id get like 20 bottles. but to recommend something that might be similar id check out the "clean" fragrance line (www.cleanperfume.com). also "soap & water" by philosophy.

I'm just a little wary of sites I've never heard anything about - in this case, I just chose that site for the description. I do love Philosophy, though, so I'll check that out.

#1) I'd definitely do a spot test if you have any doubts. I've never had a reaction or known anyone who has, but considering even simple reactions can lead to chemical burns, hair loss and other really awful things - Check!

#2) I'd search for perfumes with similar 'notes' mentioned on the page and go in person if at all possible and test them out.

#4) Sockdreams.com is best online. They carry really lovely quality items, especially if you want say cotton or wool tights instead of nylon.

Welovecolors is also pretty good.

For in store, I've had luck with target but depending on location can often be wiped out of stock. I've also heard H&M mentioned a lot for tights.
