1) I asked a question about hair dye a few weeks ago, and I have another: has anyone here ever had a bad, bad reaction to hair dye? Or had a friend who's had a bad reaction? I know I can do a spot test, but I'm still a little nervous about it. I basically want reassurance that the likelihood for this is very, very low, unless, of course, it isn't.

PPD is a very common allergen and common additive to darker hair dyes. The reaction to it can be sudden and severe enough to warrant hospitalization. There are dark PPD free dyes out there, you just have to search for them. That said, there are many, many things that people are allergic to; things much more benign than many of the ingredients in hair dyes. You should always do a spot test before dyeing hair, as reactions don't always start out mildly. However, the vast majority of people don't bother with a spot test, and come out just fine. Sounds like a spot test is definitely in order. :)

Yeah, I do like Doc Martens (a lot), but I've browsed their site and nothing's exactly what I want. I would take all of it, but since I have to settle for one thing I'm trying to find something that's as close to what I want as possible. I really like some of the boots on that site, though.

Target has some pretty cool solid-colored tights. I've recently bought teal and purple ones there.

Aaagh, everyone keeps suggesting Target, and it makes me wonder why I didn't think to look there! I love that place.

3. I love my nine west boots, style name hollyn. But they came out last fall and were hard to come across even then, so I don't know if you'd have any luck finding them now. :/

4. Macys carried HUE brand tights which come in tons of colors and patterns. I like them.

I have a pair of Nine West that are pretty old, but I do love them. I should go check them out this fall.
