last-minute halloween costume

Does anyone know of something that will safely stain my hands red for the night? I was thinking food dye, but I'm really afraid of it coming off on my clothes and my friend's furniture ( Read more... )

Maybe liquid lip or cheek stain in a nice red color? I've used some that were ridiculously hard to get out.

Maybe put your hands in concentrated koolade? or find some raspberries/strawberries, mash it all up and soak your hands in it?

maybe try some red acrylic paint and let it dry? i dunno. but it's worth a shot. (haha pardon the pun)

Acrylic paint will wash off your hands super easily. And it'll flake once it's dried. I wouldn't recommend it if you want any degree of staying power.

kool-aide does a pretty good job. Food color alone can work, but generally I find more staining from pre-made frosting or gel frosting than straight food dye. Kool-aide is going to be cheaper though. There are a lot of fake blood products that actually stain skin pretty well even after being washed off.
