It would appear that even a place which promises new beginnings can't ensure everlasting peace. I do hope eventually the day comes when those who are in positions of power and authority do not intentionally harm those less fortunate, but my faith in such a thing occurring within my own lifetime is a waning one.

I've only been here a short while but I must say, to date, I've found this place to be quite refreshing. Perhaps not precisely what I envisioned but most assuredly better than that which I left behind.
