Last year I went to Nebraskon, and there I attended a panel on lolita basics. I hadn't given the culture much thought before, but the woman running the panel impressed me. She was very mature, and seemed to know what she was doing. She said she also had a table in the dealers room, and ran a tea party in Omaha. I never found her again, after that panel. Was that you?
Yes, My name is Kathleen and I ran the Lolita panels at Nebraskon. It's a pleasure, and a surprise, to hear from you. I talk about Lolita all over the country and rarely get to hear back from the people I talk to. This is a real treat ^_^
I'm sorry we never intersected again, to be honest, I was so busy last year I hardly sat down and did any art the whole weekend.
How has your year been going? Have you been looking into the Lolita culture any more since November?
I'm glad I finally found you. I don't know if you would remembe me or not, it isn't as if I introduced myself. I was one of a pair of girls that were in pinstriped pantsuits instead of lolita garb. I had a gray fedora. Don't know if that helps. My name is Sariah, I live in Lincoln. I have, in fact, looked more into lolita culture since then, and have gleaned a greater understanding. Well, to a degree. I've learned how to recognize several of the diffrent catagories of lolita. I lack experience interacting with them. It has been my misfortune to mostly only run into them at cons. Usually they are very young and snobbish, which is why I hadn't given the culture much thought before. I'm simply too old for that kind of attitude. This is also why your maturity and attention to detail impressed me so much. It makes me glad to know the entire culture can't be quantified so easily
