Hello! Mum and I have been stealing Rosie's Doctor Who books and we say these ones are good:

Shining Darkness
Beautiful Chaos
The Pirate Loop
Nightmare of Black Island

We say Doctor Trap was rubbish so don't go for that one.

You are free to completely ignore us however. :D

I only read the Donna books so can't really give a fair over all assessment...however, of the Doctor, Donna ones, I'd say go for Beautiful Chaos. It's definitely the best in terms of characterisation and the plot is decent too. Shining Darkness is fairly enjoyable too although I'd give The Doctor Trap a wide berth.

If you can afford an audiobook, I'd totally get The Nemonite Invasion, it's fabulous :)

Beautiful Chaos is my first Donna-choice too. Shining Darkness was also good. The Story of Martha really filled in the gap nicely, so I'd recommend that one and The Deviant Strain as well.

"Forever Autumn" was horrible! Not true to the characters. Don't get it! "Shining Darkness" was ok, but no a stellar read. The Doctor & Donna acted true to character though. I didn't like "The Stone Rose." It just didn't seem right to me. I bought "Martha In The Mirror" but haven't read it yet...lol. I haven't read "Beautiful Chaos" but all I have to say is: Donna worshiped as a Goddess!!! Get that one!!!!
