Sleep interrupted.

The night had gone exceedingly well, as far as I was concerned. Sure, the vampire slayers still lived, and the plot to kill them had been foiled, but minimal damage had been done, and in an election year and an even bigger year for me, personally, I thought that the way the damage had been managed was perfect ( Read more... )

"It seems that we have another wave that has come to town that you might be familiar with from your time in Europe, Mr. Reminger, and to answer your question, I laughed because I was just thinking how fresh that you look, like it was the middle of the day for you, which of course, I thought and laughed about, it actually is...Breath mint?"The implication that I needed a breath mint made me wonder what my benefactor, who would soon be a giant demon, which I planned on being here for, made me think that he believed that I had been feeding and making waves in his town. The issue of this European super vampire hardly caught my attention for the minute. We could address that a little later ( ... )

"I haven't fed, Wilkins, if that's what you are wondering. And if I were to feed, it wouldn't be in Sunnydale, and it wouldn't be public, even though I do like, generally, to make spectacles. No sir, I plan to hold off on feeding until I'm eating either of the slayers..."

"And nobody implied that you had, Boris. Geez, are all Germans so serious?"

I laughed and stood. The very idea of the slayers becoming memories was tantalizing. "I offer everyone breath mints, Mr. Reminger. It's just courtesy, which I realize might not exist in the world in which you hail, and I do appreciate your desire to keep Sunnydale safe. Killing the slayers might let other vampires run free, though, and we couldn't have that."

He seemed disappointed.

"Now, who is the uber-European in town that isn't me?""You, can, however, kill one of the slayers, or both, as long as you don't mind keeping this town safe by exterminating others of your kind. Now, getting to this new arrival in town. There are actually, or at least, were two uber-Europeans as you so ( ... )

"I couldn't give a piss about how most Germans are. I am serious, which makes it easy for me to get things done, Mayor."

If I wanted to kill the slayers, or turn one of the slayers, then nobody was going to stop me, but it left me confounded. Leashes weren't for me. Within reason, I would play ball for this Mayor that was paying me, but only within reason.

"Splendid, Mr. Reminger. There are few qualities in this world, my mother used to say, more admirable then a good work ethic. I know that my bringing you here was the best decision that I could have made."

"I'll kill both slayers, although I do plan on turning the young brunette and making her my love slave, Mayor, just from one glance. After that, I will become the vampire and demon slayer, if you will, and I'll kill Spike tonight, and Angelus, whenever he returns.""I know that you are formidable, Boris, and certainly commanding, and you have all of my Faith, pardon the pun, with your plan involving the two slayers, and if I might say, an excellent choice. From my one glance at the little brunette, Faith, she seems like quite the little firecracker and therefore, companion for somebody like yourself, however, do you think it wise to take Spike so lightly? He and his little brunette created quite the trouble here ( ... )
