Happy Birthday (season) to me!

When I was a little girl, growing up in a small town in western PA, we had a very close knit neighborhood.  Most of the Dads were veterans of WWII, many had served together, in the same unit, during the war, and a few had even migrated to the neighborhood from a nearby farming community.  Most of us were related to at least one other neighborhood ( Read more... )

I am so sorry that we had to miss it! (I woke up with a migraine that morning and was useless for most of the day.) Etiennette came to the court meeting in her Buidhe Roger T shirt. She had a wonderful time.

Congratulations to you and to all the clan--truly the greatest sign of success in life is how many people love you.

"Buidhe" is the gaelic word for "yellow". The Buidhe Roger is my design... instead of the white skull and crossbones on black, it is yellow on black. The skull is a stylized dog's paw. It looks great! We made tshirts for household pups, as well as the flags (which are silk painted), and had tote bags made, sporting the design, which were awarded as prizes. People were fighting over them! I'm thinking we may want to have more made, as we have already paid the tshirt people the set-up fee for the artwork. Currently, there are only 12 shirts and 6 totes in circulation... that would make for hot items on Ebay! :-)

I'm glad the party went well--I was really disappointed that I had to miss it. Take care, and see you at Anniversary, if not sooner!
