It's Done?

The work I did today with the journals completed the last box I had to visit.  The discussions with Jason's mother over several specific items have all been resolved.  Except for paperwork I just have to file and objects to give to certain people, everything is put away in the place that makes the most sense right now.  My once crowded living room ( Read more... )

I can't tell of course, from just LJ. but I know in my own life, when someone passes away I'm go go go until the work is all done but then there has to be a period of just being with it. floating, sort of. does it work that way for you?

Yes it does. There's a certain quality of closure in processing as much as possible as soon as possible. After that I can contemplate when the demands on my time and energy are reduced. At that point, I can feel more or recognize specific feelings that were masked by the grief or shock.
