Keep thinking and expressing these thoughts. The "manliness" programming IS intense ... I definitely struggled with it. The good news is, there are a LOT of people, including amongst the people we know, who have done their own work on that as well. In my experience, it does get easier with time to just be one's own person and let that stuff fade into the background. Reminding yourself of who you are at your core can take a while but it pays off.
I have said about men and erections, to us it's so very important. Women say that it doesn't matter, or it's unimportant and they think we're obsessing about trivial things but we can't do anything fancy like have babies or lactate or connect with the lunar cycle of the goddess or whatever. All we can do that's special is have an erection. That's about it.
