First things first. Let's go ahead and do the meme entry. ^_^

hm... so today I recommend a picture... hm... well, you know me. One certainly isn't possible. Four seems like a good number for today. ;)
A LOOOOONG time ago I was on a kick where I posted thumbnails and links to different artists galleries and my favorites among their works. What say you I revive that for at least one day? Who knows, I might do more later.
Alright - this isn't my main rec, but you need to see this if you've got the time - The Heavens Erupt" - so cool... and what's more incredible is that he wasn't using telescopes or crazy zoom levels... this was what the eye could see (except the eye would have less noise)
Oh! I know what I want to rec!!! Stephanie Pui-mun Law is AMAZING. Her art is absolutely gorgeous, but my favorite piece was a commission she did years ago. Unfortunately I can only find a small image of it. She used to have it posted on Elfwood, but removed it for some reason.
Dance of Fire - II! If you click on this pic it will take you to her website, all the others will lead to larger versions of the image. Sorry that the only version I can find of DoFII is so small. TT-TT You lose a lot of beauty and detail at this scale.
Next is an old rec - this one is for squidgeesushi:
TheAphex draws some of the best portraits I've ever seen. And he draws ones from movies/series I love so that makes him even cooler. ;P He's got Star Wars, LotR, Iron Man, Indiana Jones, Dr. Who, Harry Potter, Batman (with a big focus on the Joker), X-men... and so on and so forth. ^_^

On a completely different note. I'M GOING TO DRAGONCON NEXT YEAR!!! SQUEE!!!! Linz sent me the order forms so I can get in on the group rate for tickets while they're still relatively cheap. (Now I just need to find lodging... she's got a room in one of the host hotels, but the spots filled up real quick with her beau's friends TT-TT)
